Welcome

1750m2 property, approx. 7 min walk from the beach, 4 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms

Maybe the first day starts like this: Sitting in the shady patio under orange oleander blossoms, blue jacaranda and red bougainvillea, feeling the morning warmth, catching the scent of the flowers, enjoying the first coffee and planning the day. Meanwhile, the children have discovered the 10m x 5m swimming pool „Mama, Mama! There are dolphins in the water!“ and the laughter echoes through the house ~ 180 sqm over 12 rooms (with two log fireplaces and a central heating stove for the winter months). Each of the 4 bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom.

You might decide to do the shopping first and walk the 750m along shady, leafy streets up to the local supermarket (Supersol). The car can remain safely parked on the property, because many supermarkets deliver.

On your return to the villa, the children are chasing Grandad and a football around the large walled garden (…only the flowers and Grandad may suffer). After the shopping is stored in the large fridge-freezer, you may decide the first day is just too early to familiarise yourself with the ceramic hob or Miele oven in the fully equipped Kitchen, so you stroll the flat 350 m to the beach (5-7 minutes) through the leafy streets where, in winter, the wood fires and the scent of the flowers elude into a wonderful fragrance. Along the way the children might notice the fluorescent green parrots that characterize this residential area.

The restaurants are popular all year round. The service is friendly and the selection ranges from fresh fish dishes to include tapas, Italian dishes, English Sunday roasts, excellent fresh salads and chilled Spanish wines which can be savoured whilst gazing over the simmering beach out onto the azure Mediterranean, with views to Gibraltar and on less humid days as far (or near!) as the North African coastline. directly on beach or promenade.

After that, the children want to build sandcastles and play in the water, and you just want to lie in the shade on the beach, look out to sea and allow the effects of the excellent cold wine wash away in the sea breeze. Both are possible. Alternatively stroll to the sheltered bays of Puerto Banus (20 minutes walk), where there are usually inflatable waterparks for children on the bay or rent beach chairs, umbrellas or stand-up paddle boards, right on San Pedro or Cortijo Blanco beach. Most of the beaches in the area have showers, toilets, changing facilities and most importantly are classified as ‚Blue Flag‘ beaches.

Back in the peaceful privacy of the villa you may laze under the shade of the palm trees swaying gently in a light summer breeze

Back in the peaceful privacy of the villa you might find yourself lazing in the shade of one of our palm trees (our garden is home to 5 Palms and several of the same emerald parrots swaying gently in a light summer breezeIn the late afternoon (it’s still hot) and now back in the garden, under a palm tree (the garden is home to five palm trees) or on the upstairs Terrasse (where green Parrotts fly by at eye level ), or you can watch the children in the pool and maybe at the same time wondering how the dark blue from the pool turns into a play of colors with purple and red bougainvillea, white and red oleander, yellow and orange roses, cactus (they turn yellow in June) – and all under the light blue summer sky (since 2011 the sun shines mostly continuously from January to November).

Meanwhile, the men sit with a cool beer in front of the 55 inch TV and watch a sports show (we have the normal German-speaking Free SAT TV channels and a DVD player, which is perhaps suitable for children’s DVDs brought).

Everybody has a lot of space here.

For the evening planning we have to offer: boutiques, Puerto Banus marina, a department store (El Corte Ingles) and countless bars in Puerto Banus (20 minutes walk along the beach or 5 minutes drive). If one skips Puerto Banus and heads for Marbella, one can explore the lanes of the old town of Marbella, meet at the ‚Orange Square‘ (Plaza de Naranjas) for dinner and then try the countless wine bars or perhaps visit a flamenco performance. Or they stay in the villa and sit outside under the sunshade with the background of the illuminated palm trees, the pool and grill fresh fish or fresh meat from SuperSol and decide if it is GT’s, white wine, Rose….
